Robbie Radis win's the Windsurfing Perth Cervantes Speed Challenge held in Cervantes Western Australia after coming back from a shoulder injury.

On Saturday the 29 of November the annual Windsurfing Perth Cervanties Speed Challenge was held with 50 sailor's from all over Western Australia.

The event attracted sailor's of all levels out there to give it their best shot in the gusty 10 to 20 knot wind's. After a full day of speed sailing in gusty winds Robbie Radis laid down the fastest run's of the day to take the Speed Challenge for the second year in a row. The Cervants Speed Challenge saw wind's blowing a gusty 10 to 20 knot's from the opposite direction to the normal trade wind's making the speed area very choppy, making it very challenging to get good run's. Setting the pass first  Peter Dan's KA/Kinetic with a speed of 57km. Robbie Radis Neilprdye/Kinetic come out on his first run and took the lead with 59km run. Peter Dan's KA/Kinetic come back out and bettered his best run with a 58km run. Robbie Radis Neilpryde/Kinetic then increased his lead with 60.5km run then followed it up with 61.5km run. Dan Engdahl Servern/Starboard then hit the water and moved into second place with a 58.5km run pushing Peter Dan's KA/Kinetic into third place.

The wind then drop to 10 to 16 knot's so the best run's had been made for the day so it was Robbie Radis Neilpryde/Kinetic to take the event win for the second year in a row using his new RS6 6.7 and Kinetic Gladiator 95.

Robbie Radis Neilpryde/Kinetic

“Im really happy to take the event out. I had some really bad luck in Taiwan injuring my shoulder forcing me out of the AWT contest and putting me off the water for two week's. I had not sailed since the injury and was not shore how my shoulder was going to hold up in the choppy gusty condition's. My gear was great the Gladiator is such an easy and fun board to ride. I had just received a new RS6 6.7 sail witch I had not sailed yet. I thought it was going to take a few run's to get the hang of the sail but as soon as I hit the water the RS6 felt faster and easier than any sail I have ever used, my shoulder felt a little stiff but not to bad so I went for it straight from the start. It was a great feeling to do the fastest run's of the day.”

Final Result
1st. Robbie Radis (Kinetic/Neilpryde) 61.5
2nd. Dan Engdahl 58.7
3rd. Peter Dans (Kinetic/KA Sails) 58.0
